As a dancer and choreographer of renown,
Momo Kadous has devoted his life since early childhood to
the performing arts. He began his career at the age of 10
in Mahalla Egypt (Nile Delta) with extensive training in ballet,
character dance, modern dance and Egyptian folklore dance.
He worked and collaborated with numerous folklore groups and
finished his training at the Balloon Theater in Cairo (El
ferqa el steradeya). He established the folklore-group "El
Mahalla el Kobre" and his own theater group "Wadi
el Nile" in 1974 with which he earned international acclaim.
After a two year tour in Tunesia Momo
came to Germany in 1987 and joined the studio Arabeska where
he became Artistic Director. Momo is now one of the most prominent
and influential instructors in Oriental and Egyptian folklore
dance, teaching his unique style to dancers all over the world.
Since 2010 he is also working at Orient
Academy in Offenbach. In addition to his regular courses,
Momo offers numerous seminars and special programs such as
special training for teachers.

enrich his brilliant and various style.
Multi-Choreography
Project
Momo's choreography workshops are
a treasure chest for every belly dancer: stage presence, special
effects, expression, music interpretation and choreography
finesse - all these elements are covered in Momo's unique
teaching method.
With this Multi-choreography-project
Momo will guide you in 4 weekends to the mystery of challenging
choreographies from different style of middle eastern dance
including raks sharki, baladi and folkloric dances. Momo will
explain his famous technique and elements, which has already
become his worldwide trademark.
Another focus of this project will be
the authentic interpretation of the different lyrics as well
as improving your personal feeling and understanding of the
music.
Level:
Ambitious students in intermediate levels and higher, professional
dancers and teachers, participants of Momo's previous projects.
Teaching
Materials:
All choreographies will be filmed at the end of each workshop.
All participants will be informed by email and get a link
to the website, where they can download the video-clip for
free.
